Get Paid £68,000 To Move To This Stunning Irish Island

You could get paid to move to a beautiful rural Irish island this year!

If you’re thinking of moving, this could be an initiative you’ll want to take note of. Ireland’s government has just launched its “Our Living Islands” scheme to help boost the population of smaller islands.

As part of the scheme, the Irish government will pay people £68,700 in a cash grant to move to one of 23 rural and isolated islands. While there are loads of benefits to living a rural life away from major cities, you’ll have to be prepared as none of these islands are connected to the mainland via bridges of low tides. However, if your city is draining you and you feel at one around nature this could be a great idea for you.

So, what’s the catch you might ask? Well, you’ll need to use the money (which is approximately €80,000) to restore old buildings on the land, by making structural improvements or redecorating them.

The aim of the scheme is to ensure that communities can continue to live and enjoy rural areas and to encourage people to have a go at rural life. The scheme will open from the 1st of July and you’ll need to purchase and own a property on one of the islands in order to be eligible.
