Pancake day 2022 falls on 1st March this year, and there’s no better way to kick off spring than with a celebratory plate of pancakes.
Whether you make them from scratch or opt for the store bought ones, here’s everything you need to know about what your fave pancake toppings say about you:
Sugar and lemon
A classic and to be honest if this is your go-to we can’t really judge too harshly as it is really good. If you opt for sugar and lemon you’re playing it safe which means you probably like to do this for most life decisions too. Really, you probably are a bit boring but you can’t beat a classic so we respect that.
Maple syrup
If you love to drizzle your pancakes in maple syrup American style, you’re either super sure of what you like in life (or you’re just a huge fan of McDonald’s breakfasts). Either way, maple syrup and pancakes were made to go together and if this is your go-to you have excellent taste.
Toffee syrup and banana
You can’t deny that this is a winning combo, the word banoffee was literally coined because people realised how good they go together. You have excellent taste in pancakes and probably everything else in life too.

You’re elite if you recognise that Biscoff on pancakes is a million times better than Nutella, let’s leave it as that.
But, regardless of what your fave toppings are, I think we can all agree that pancake day is one of the best days of the year and should be celebrated for much longer than just one day.
