Drinks Freebies You Can Get Every Week Including Wine, Beer & Coffee

Stay hydrated all year long with these handy free drinks hacks.

If you can’t get through the day without a coffee or go out for drinks a few times too often a week, your bank account probably hates you.

Luckily, we’ve found a bunch of freebies you can claim each week that could see you scoring free coffee, hot chocolate, beer, cider, or wine which is great as a student. Of course, we always have loads of amazing student discounts over on Student Beans, but if you want to grab some drinks for free here are the hacks and freebies you need to know about.

Where can I get free coffee?

  • IKEA: If you’re lucky enough to have a local Ikea you can sign up to IKEA Family for free to take advantage of this offer. There are actually lots of benefits to signing up (including the fact anyone can sign up, you don’t have to be a family) and member discounts, but one of the best is that you’ll get free coffee and hot drinks when you visit on weekdays, which is an excellent excuse to visit the IKEA cafe.
  • Greggs and Caffè Nero: You can score free coffee and hot drinks from Greggs every week if you’re a member of Octopus Energy’s rewards scheme—you can read more about that here. You can also get a free coffee from Greegs each week if you’re an o2 priority member.
  • Pret: Although there is some money involved in this, the Pret subscription is super handy if you’re addicted to coffee and drink it daily. You have to pay £30 a month, but you’ll get 5 hot drinks for free per day which is honestly a great deal if you go to Pret most days.
  • Costa & Starbucks: Like Pret, you’ll have to spend some money to get freebies from Costa & Starbucks, but if you sign up to their loyalty scheme and collect points you’ll be on your way to claiming a free drink in return. Once you’ve reached Gold member status at Starbucks you’ll also get a free drink on your birthday each year too.

Where can I get free alcoholic drinks?

  • O’Neill’s: If you’re a regular in your local pub, you might want to switch to drinking in an O’Neill’s, as you’ll be able to get a free drink once you sign up for and download their app. This drink could be Guinness; red, white, or rosé wine; Carling; or Coors. If you don’t drink or don’t fancy an alcoholic drink, you could also get a free Diet Pepsi, Pepsi Max, or lemonade.
  • Inch’s apple cider: For a limited time only you can claim a free half pint of Inch’s cider by signing up.
  • Greene King: Although it’s not technically free, you can get a 20% student discount at Greene King which is too good to ignore.
