The Ideal Applicant
Think you’re the perfect fit to watch tons of travel movies over the course of a month? Then you’re going to want to send in your application ASAP. But to increase your chances, here is exactly the kind of person Upgraded Points is looking for:
- A deep love for exploring different cultures, destinations, and experiences.
- An avid interest in cinema, with a keen eye for storytelling, cinematography, and the ability to appreciate films of different genres.
- An adventurous and open-minded attitude to explore and appreciate the diversity of travel experiences depicted in films.
- The skill to tell stories that connect the dots between cinematic experiences and real-working travel. It’s important to make the readers feel like they’re a part of the journey.
- A knack for research to uncover interesting facts about the movie, context, and how they can relate to current travel opportunities.
What You’ll Do
If selected to be the travel movie binge-watcher, there are 15 movies on your list to watch. You’ll have one month to watch all of them, so plan your viewing accordingly:
- Back to the Future
- Barbie
- Bucket List
- Dune
- Eat, Pray, Love
- Into the Wild
- Leap Year
- Midnight in Paris
- Out of Africa
- Shrek
- The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
- The Way
- Under the Tuscan Sun
- War Dogs
- Wild
Each movie will have a separate worksheet to fill out with various criteria about the film. All of the movies need to be watched and worksheets filled out by June 21, 2024.
You’ll obviously be compensated for your efforts, as well. Upon watching all the movies and filling out the corresponding worksheets, you’ll receive $1,500 along with a $75 Amazon gift card to cover the cost of renting the movies.
