• Go outside between the hours of 10 PM and 4 AM for a chance to get abducted
• Increase your chances significantly by becoming a Scientist. In this career, sims can use rewards like the Satellite Dish and the Out of this World Desktop to contact Aliens
• When your Sim reaches level 7 logic, they can use “Search for Truth” on the observatory to increase chances even more. Your sim will also see increased object interactions that can lead to an alien abduction and may be able to learn the Genius trait.

If all else fails, cheat!

If none of this seems to be working and you’re desperate to get your sim abducted, you can use cheats in Sims 4. Do the following to force an alien abduction in Sims 4 gameplay:

• Press Control + Shift + C
• Type in “testingcheats true”, then hit Enter

Instead, you have to wait three in-game days until the baby is ready, then you can select the Age Up option when clicking on the crib.

As for the birthday cake, make sure you place it in the centre of a table so your sims can reach it. Also remember to add birthday candles to it before any sims have a chance to take a piece. Gert your chosen sim to ‘Make A Wish’ or ‘Blow Out Candles’ and you’re all set.

Sims 4 creators confirmed that they’ve also intentionally altered lifespans on the base game upgrade, with a teenage sim taking 21 days to age up instead of 13. An adult sim would take 24 days to age up previously, but that length is now 33 days. The age span for young adult stays at 24 days in Sims 4.
