Okay, so, it’s currently 2am and I have just about processed the trailer that I watched. To be honest, I don’t think I’m ever going to process this movie, EVER. AND even better news for us in the UK, WE GET THE FILM TWO DAYS EARLY! Here’s my greatest takes and a rundown from the trailer. I feel faint. Beware for spoilers. Obviously.

If you haven’t seen it already, here’s the trailer:

Good guy Doc Ock?

In the trailer, we hear the iconic villain say, ‘you’re not Peter Parker.’ Which also, can I say GOOSEBUMPS from that line. If you grew up with the original Spider-Man trilogy like me, you know that Otto eventually sees reason and dies a heroic death. Will he be the same man? Or will the film change the man we knew?

Lizard, Electro and Sandman stand off

From the trailer, we see the scene of these three incredible (see what I did there) villains on top of what looks like Captain America’s shield? Anyway, Electro utters ‘You’ll never take this away from me.’ What could he be talking about? Another chance at living? To start over? Either way, this fight scene looks to be on another level.

Green Goblin’s first words

I have to say, hearing William Dafoe as Green Goblin was what made me squeal the most from this trailer. And that’s saying something. His words are very profound too, which I absolutely loved. ‘Peter, you’re struggling to have everything you want, while the world tries to make you choose.’ It felt so good to hear him say those words, it feels so good to have him back.

Scooby-Doo this stuff

From the trailer, it looks like Doctor Strange is going to be a big part of this movie. We knew this already, but most people were suspicious of him in the first trailer. From this one, it seems that he genuinely wants to help, and he cares for Peter. He cares about what he does. They need each other and they’re definitely on the same side.

Peter and MJ, falling again

We see at the end of the trailer that MJ is falling, Peter reaching out his hand. But did you catch Ned hanging on a railing in the same scene? It took me a couple of re-watches, but he’s there and he’s struggling. Peter at the beginning, looks completely defeated, ‘I can’t save everyone.’ Could he be talking about Ned? MJ? Aunt May?

Original and Incredible

So, around the Spidey rumour mill, there are talking that Andrew Garfield and Toby Maguire are set to return as their Spider-Men… ‘They’re starting to come through and I can’t stop them.’ Doctor Strange says this, looking like he’s struggling to keep ‘them’ out. Could this be our other Spider-Men? Could this be the crossover we not only want but deserve?

Well, a huge congratulations to Sony because my ass is going to be at the midnight premier. I’m not joking, I’ve set a reminder on my phone. What did you guys think of the trailer? Will you be watching?
