Love Is Blind Is Coming To The UK — Here’s How To Apply

It’s official, Love Is Blind is coming to the UK!

If you’re a Love Is Blind fan, you would’ve watched all 3 seasons of the US hit on Netflix as well as the messy reunion episodes. If you’re a superfan you would’ve watched the international franchises too, as there are currently 2 seasons of Love Is Blind Brazil and 1 season of Love Is Blind Japan also on Netflix.

However, now’s your lucky chance as Love Is Blind is coming to the UK next. If you’re a big fan this is going to be great news for your viewing pleasure, but if you feel like you haven’t found your soulmate yet, you might want to take it that one step further and actually apply for the show.

How can I apply?

If you think you’d be perfect on Love Is Blind, you have to fill out a short questionnaire. Applications end in June 2023, and you’ll need to answer some basic info about yourself including:

  • Personal info such as your name, date of birth and contact details
  • Your social media handles
  • A photo of yourself
  • Whether you have any children
  • If you’ve been married before
  • Your sexuality and gender identity
  • Your hobbies
  • A brief summary of your dating history
  • Why you think you’re currently single
  • What the top 3 qualities you look for in a partner are
  • If you’ve ever appeared on or filmed anything for TV before

Once you’ve filled out the questionnaire you’ll then need to film and upload a 30-second video of why you’re ready to find love and why you think you’d be perfect for the show.

What will happen if I get chosen?

If you get chosen for the show you better be ready to commit to marriage and leave all judgements behind, as Love Is Blind is famous for matching couples based on a connection, not on looks. If you’ve been unlucky in love, this could be the perfect opportunity for you, as you’ll be forming a connection with strangers without seeing their faces.

The contestants on Love Is Blind will “blind date” one another, by meeting in pods separated by a screen. This means that although you’ll be able to hear the person on the other side, you won’t be able to see what they look like. Contestants will then spend a few days getting to know one another and see if a connection forms with someone else. They can go on multiple dates and ask whatever questions they like to see if they could see themselves seriously working out with someone.

Once the blind dating stage is up, if contestants feel like they’ve formed a genuine connection with someone and they could see them as their long-term partner, they will then propose (yep, still without seeing one another). If the other participant accepts their proposal, they then get to meet face to face.

This normally results in about 5-6 final couples, who will then move in with one another, meet each other’s family and friends and start planning their weddings. After a few weeks of dating and planning, each couple will attend their wedding ceremony and either say “I do” or “I don’t” at the altar. Honestly, it’s seriously gripping and never without drama.

Although, previous contestants have proven that Love Is Truly blind as there are several couples that did actually get married and are still together to this day, so you never know!

If you’re ready to commit to the ultimate test, apply here now. For those of us who aren’t quite ready to commit to marrying a stranger, Love Is Blind UK will be landing on Netflix in 2024–– so we can look forward to enjoying some drama next year.
