Keira Knightley’s 2005 Pride & Prejudice Is Now Streaming On Netflix

Catch this OG Jane Austen classic on UK Netflix now.

Pride And Prejudice is now streaming on Netflix in the UK.

Starring Keira Knightley, Pride and Prejudice is a romantic drama that pulled on the heart strings of many. Written mostly from Elizabeth Bennett’s perspective, it explores themes of love, heartache, classism and morality.

The story, in a nutshell, expresses mother Mrs. Bennett’s scheme to secure marriages for her five daughters, one of which is Elizabeth. When Mr Darcy is introduced however, he’s quickly disliked by Elizabeth.

Twists and turns ensue where perceived heartbreaks and dishonour is brought to the family through various sub-plots.

Ultimately, the story was rewritten for the big screen, while preserving much of the original book as possible. It was intended for a slightly younger audience yet even today, it still feels like a fresh take on a romantic classic.

It’s a fantastic movie and stars some of our favourite actors like Tom Hollander, Judi Dench, Matthew Macfadyen, and Keira Knightley. The on-screen chemistry of Knightley and Macfadyen is enough to make you completely swoon.

There’s an OG version made in 1995 of the same name. We highly recommend watching that too for comparison

Rated 89% on Rotten Tomatoes, you’ll want to catch Pride and Prejudice (2005) while you can on Netflix UK.
