This Gym Will Pay You £300 To Exercise

You’ll get a free six-month ‘Plus’ membership as a thank you too.

January is one of the most popular months people sign up for the gym.

Think about it. New Years’ resolutions are in full swing, and one of the most common goals is keeping fit.

But if the thought of going to the gym fills you with dread, then you may be swayed by the idea of getting paid to exercise.

PureGym is currently looking for two ‘Gym Testers’, who’ll both receive £300 to work up a sweat in their gyms. Testers will also get a free six-month Plus membership at the end too!

In return, all the testers need to do is provide insight into their experience at the gyms they workout in, as well as how they think PureGym can be less intimidating for beginners.

Essentially, you don’t have to be a regular gym-goer. If anything, beginners are encouraged to apply.

PureGym did their own research back in 2019 and discovered that 50% of those surveyed found the idea of going to the gym ‘very scary’.

And with Coronavirus still very much around at the time of writing, we can understand why this percentage is probably higher than it was back then.

In fact, they found out the five top scary things reported about the gym:

  • Looking stupid in front of other people (nearly 40%)

  • Feeling self-conscious about fitness (45%)

  • Lifting weights (32%)

  • The treadmill (44% )

  • Asking for help (48%)
