This Country Is Giving Away Free Rail Travel For A Year If You Get A Tattoo

You could travel for free if you’re willing to get a tattoo in exchange.

It’s no secret that travelling can be expensive, and one train company has come up with a fun way to give customers free travel. If you want to explore Austria with unlimited travel for a year, you can on one condition––you get a certain tattoo. If you’re willing to get the train company Klimaticket permanently inked onto your skin, you’ll get unlimited free travel for the next year!

Of course, this is a big and permanent decision but if you’re someone that has a lot of tattoos already, this could probably be an easy trade. While this is a fun idea, we probably wouldn’t recommend doing this if you don’t have any tattoos yet or if you don’t have many, but each to their own.

This idea was propositioned by Austria’s climate minister, with over 36 people allegedly taking up this offer already. There are no rules about where the tattoo needs to be either, or how big so really it could be small and somewhere hidden. Of course, there’s always the option to cover up the tattoo at a later date too, if you’re a “yolo” type of person who would jump at taking up this offer.

While it might seem extreme, this could be a pretty good trade. So if you’re feeling brave, this could be a great way to get free travel around Austria for a year—but don’t rush to anything if you’re not 100% sure!
