A free contact lens assessment is included when you book a relevant contact lens appointment, either with an eye test or a valid prescription. If you're eligible for an NHS-funded eye test, it’s free. If not, our standard charge applies. Already have a valid prescription, you won’t need a new eye test.
We accept valid prescriptions from other opticians, subject to sign-off by a Vision Express optician.
The contact lens assessment must be for the same person as the eye test.
Contact lens assessments are subject to available appointments.
The offer includes a five-day trial, subject to suitability and availability.
The five-day trial consists of either five pairs of daily disposable lenses or one pair of reusable contact lenses, depending on availability and your optician's recommendation.
The trial does not include quarterly or annual replacement lenses, coloured lenses, gas permeable/rigid lenses, or any lenses previously trialled within the past 24 months.
Each customer is eligible for one free trial every 24 months. The trial must be redeemed at a single Vision Express store and is subject to optician approval.
After completing your free trial, you can choose to subscribe to regular lens deliveries or purchase lenses as you need them.

To sign up for our subscription service, you’ll need to visit a Vision Express store.
Once you’ve done that, you'll pay for your first three months of lenses to get you started. Your Direct Debit payments, which are made in advance of your next supply of lenses, will then be taken on the first working day of every month. There’s no minimum length of contract and you can cancel whenever you like.
Your deliveries will arrive at your chosen location every three months. Home delivery with Complete Contact Care is free and all of our packages will fit easily through your letterbox.

Delivery options & charges
Have your order delivered to virtually any address within the UK with regular tracking information and a 2-hour delivery time window on the day. If you won’t be in on the day of delivery you can divert your parcel to a neighbour, or nominate a safe place using the Evri app.

How often should I have my eyes tested?
Even if you are not aware of any problems you should have your eyes tested every 2 years. The eye test is a regular health check, which can detect underlying health problems as well as changes in your vision. It may need to be more frequent depending on you age and medical history. Your Optometrist will normally advise you when you should return for your next eye test and usually they will send a reminder letter to you.
