Minecraft concrete recipes
Craft Concrete Powder
The first step in making Concrete in Minecraft is to craft Concrete Powder. Not sure how to craft Concrete Powder? It’s easy! In order to craft Concrete Powder, you’re going to need the following materials:
- One unit of Dye
- Four units of Sand
- Four units of Gravel
Follow A Dye Recipe
If you don’t want just standard Concrete in Minecraft, you’re going to want to dye it with some cool colors! In order to color your Concrete, you’re going to need to use a Dye recipe. There are 16 different dyes available in the game, which are:
- Light Gray
- Orange
- Yellow
- Light Blue
- Purple
- Magenta
Add One Of The 16 Dye Colors
To dye the Concrete, you’ll have to add the specific ingredients, depending on what color you want your Concrete to be in Minecraft. We’ve included the five most popular variations of Dye for Concrete in the Minecraft fandom below.

How To Make White Concrete Dye
Use one Bone Meal Or Lily Of The Valley.
How To Make Black Concrete Dye
Use one Ink Sack Or Wither Rose.
How To Make Red Concrete Dye
Use one Poppy, Red Tulip, Rose Bush, Or Beetroot.
How To Make Blue Concrete Dye
Use one Lapis Lazuli Or Cornflower.
How To Make Yellow Concrete Dye
Use one Dandelion Or Sunflower.
Mix The Concrete Powder With Water
Now you’ll need to harden the Concrete Powder into a solid block by mixing it with water. How do you do that? Simply place the powder into any body of water to turn it into a Concrete Block in Minecraft.
Mine The Finished Concrete
Finally, you’re able to mine your finished Concrete in Minecraft! Use any pickaxe to break the Concrete. It will drop smaller block of itself, which you’ll then be able to move and place anywhere in the game. Once you use water to make Concrete, it stays that way forever, so you don’t need to worry about keeping it wet.
Note Blocks
Wondering about Note Blocks in Minecraft, too? Note Blocks are musical blocks that emit sound when hit or powered with Redstone. Note Blocks generate in ancient cities and are most quickly broken with an axe.
To craft a Note Block, simply add any three Planks to the top and bottom row of your crafting table, and two Planks in the middle row with one unit of Redstone.
