Zavvi student deals: what's everyone adding to their bag?
MTG x TMNT is in a league of its own
The Magic: The Gathering | Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Collector Booster Box (12 Packs) is pulling 76% of all purchases on its own, and it's not even close. With 35 recent purchases against single digits for everything else on the list, this is the one students are actually hunting down.
At £299.99 down from £449.99, it's not exactly pocket change, but collectors clearly aren't blinking.
Collectibles are beating basics, easily
Zavvi's top sellers skew hard towards collector energy rather than everyday fashion. The Star Wars The Black Series Emperor Palpatine & Throne Star Wars: Return of the Jedi Collectible 6 Inch Action Figure sits at 13% of brand share via Hasbro, proving students will pay for a proper display piece over something disposable.
It's also discounted 18%, so the price cut is doing some of the convincing here too.
Mystery hoodies prove the budget pull is real
Not everything is big-ticket collectibles. The 3 Pack Mystery Sweatshirt/Hoodie - S is the cheapest thing in the top 3 and it's still landing 11% of brand share under the Mixed label, helped along by a steep 68% discount bringing it down to £12.99.
It shows students aren't only chasing hero items, a low-risk multi-buy at a silly price still gets picked up alongside the big spends.
