We can't resist a sweet treat, and these are super easy to do in the air fryer.
Ingredients
Dry
125g all-purpose flour
25g granulated sugar
10g baking powder
1g salt
Wet
125ml milk
30g unsalted butter, melted
1 egg
Instructions
Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C) and spray the basket with cooking spray or lightly grease it using oil.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until well combined.
In another bowl, combine milk, melted butter, and egg. Mix well.
Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and stir until the mixture is smooth and well combined without lumps.
Using a spoon or a small ice cream scoop, form small, rounded balls of dough and place them into the air fryer basket, ensuring they are not touching each other.
Cook the doughnut bites in the preheated air fryer for about 5-7 minutes or until they are golden brown, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time to ensure even cooking.
Remove the doughnut bites from the air fryer and allow them to cool slightly.
Optional: Roll the doughnut bites in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar while they are still warm for added sweetness.
Notes
For a richer flavour, substitute whole milk with buttermilk.
Add a pinch of nutmeg or cinnamon to the dry ingredients for a warm, aromatic touch.
These doughnut bites are perfect for dipping; try them with chocolate sauce or caramel.
To make them ahead, prepare the dough and refrigerate for up to 24 hours.
