FlixBus Student Discounts

On your journey you can transport one small bag or backpack and one piece of luggage
free of charge. Small bags and backpacks: Your small bag or backpack is limited to one item with the following dimensions: 42 x 30 x 18 cm and weighing up to 7 kg . Carry all valuables in your small bag or backpack. Make sure you stow your small bag or backpack on the bus so that it does not block the emergency exits (e.g., in the luggage compartments).

Luggage: Your luggage allowance is limited to one piece of luggage with maximum dimensions of 80 x 50 x 30 cm (width + length + height) and a maximum weight of 20 kg . Please note that there may be exceptions to the baggage allowance on some routes. You will receive all the information regarding the baggage allowance for your trip during the booking process.
What am I not allowed to bring? Items such as furniture or furniture parts, electrical appliances, surfboards, car parts,
cardboard packaging and animals ( with the exception of guide dogs and assistance dogs ) are not allowed to be transported in our buses. You can find more information in our baggage policy .

You can easily change your booking through Manage My Booking. Small passenger
name typos can usually be fixed for free, but bigger changes may count as a name
change and could be treated as a cancellation with fees applied. Phone number and
email address changes are always free.
For departure date or time changes, just select your ride, choose a new option, and
confirm. If the new ride is more expensive, you pay the difference; if it’s cheaper, you’ll
receive a voucher. This type of change may be subject to cancellation fees according to
our Policy.
You can also add extra luggage up to 15 minutes before departure, depending on
availability and with possible fees. You’ll receive a new booking confirmation by email
after every change.

FlixBus vouchers are available for students who are logged in on the Student Beans platform.

• The voucher is redeemable in the FlixBus App and website
• The voucher expires on the 17.12.2026
• The voucher is valid for travel dates between 07.01.2026 and 17.12.2026
• The voucher cannot be combined with other voucher codes.
• The voucher doesn't apply on service fees and extras
• Subsequent crediting of a voucher to an already made booking is not possible.
• A cash payment of the voucher amount is not possible.
• The resale and the publication of vouchers are prohibited.
