The Best Snacks For Finals Week

Have you eaten yet?

When the end of the semester approaches, there’s only one thing on your mind: finals week. The daunting amount of assignments, exams, and last-minute projects is seemingly endless. But even if you don’t want to, you’re going to have to run the gauntlet.

To ensure your success, snacks are a priority. Whether you’re eating them in between exams or as you’re pulling an all-nighter to cram (which we don’t recommend but hey, it happens), fueling for finals weeks is essential. That’s why we’ve rounded up the best snacks to munch on during the end of the semester. Scroll to find your favorite!

Protein Bars or Shakes

While you could just go with an ordinary granola bar, we know you can do better. Protein bars will keep you feeling full for longer amounts of time, all while giving you a nice healthy balance of carbs, fats, and protein. Just be sure to find one that has at least 20 grams of protein.

Or you could opt for a quick shake if you want to throw something in a shaker bottle and just go. Either way, you’ll be set up for success.

Yogurt

Yogurt really doesn’t get its praises sung enough. A nutritional powerhouse, yogurt can do almost anything. Whether you throw a quick single-serving cup in your bag or make your own bowl to take with you, the possibilities are endless. We recommend adding fruit, nut butter, and a little bit of honey!

Berries & Nuts

Think trail mix, but better. The added sugar in the dried fruit in your regular trail mix will lead you to a quick energy spike, but also an inevitable crash. Make your own mix by adding some nuts, fresh berries, and some dark chocolate chips for a snack that will satisfy your sweet tooth.

Breakfast Sandwich

Don’t overthink it. Hard fry an egg, add some bacon, lettuce, and maybe some mayo. It’s basically a breakfast/lunch sandwich that’s perfect for when you’re craving something salty. Plus, who doesn’t love breakfast foods?

Apples & Peanut Butter

There’s a reason this snack is a classic, and rightly so. One, it’s easily portable. Apple slices and a packet of peanut butter will fit into your backpack, no problem. The carbs from the apple will give you a quick burst of energy, while the fat in the peanut butter will keep you full and focused.

Snacking Cheese & Crackers

Honestly, nothing makes you feel like more of a kid than having some kind of snacking cheese in your bag. We’re not complaining. It’s high in protein, low in fat, and keeps you full. Adding the crackers for carbs creates a well-balanced snack that’s easy and delicious.
