The average entry tariff of 2021 students was 150 UCAS points, surpassing the national average of 132.8 UCAS points. However, for such a high-ranking university, Loughborough does have the satisfyingly lowest average entry tariff compared to the other universities in the top 10 ranking.

Student satisfaction

The course and teaching satisfaction rates at Loughborough university are comfortably above the national averages at 86.8% and 84.8% respectively. In fact, Loughborough’s course satisfaction is the THIRD highest in the country, beaten only by Bath and St. Andrews.

When it comes to Loughborough accommodation though, that’s where satisfaction rates really do shine. Loughborough’s dorms come out on top with the HIGHEST accommodation score in the UK, with its 4.24 score soaring past the national average of 3.84.

The staff to student ratio is a little stretched at Loughborough, however, with 13.5 students to every staff member. But with such high satisfaction rates, the staff to student ratio doesn’t seem to be particularly problematic to the students.

Future prospects

Despite being one of the top 10 universities, Loughborough University does have a lower percentage of top-class marks. In 2021, 32% of grads secured a first-class degree, which falls below the national average and the other top ten universities in the ranking. However, 56% of grads did score the second highest classification of a 2:1.

After graduating with primarily first-class and upper second-class degrees, Loughborough graduates have some solid graduate prospects with 85% securing a career in the 15 months after graduating. This is notably higher than the national average of 78%.
