How do I sign up to Grad Beans?
If you have had a Student Beans account in the past you will be able to sign into your Student Beans account and, if eligible, be able to re-verify as a graduate. If you haven’t had a Student Beans account previously you will be able to go through our manual verification process. To be verified you must provide: – completion of a Bachelors, Masters, apprenticeship or another recognised professional course – proof you have completed a course that has lasted at least 12 months – show the name of your institution where you completed your studies – shows your full name – be dated within the last 5 years
Am I eligible for Grad Beans?
If you have graduated within the last 5 years from a Bachelors, Masters, apprenticeship or another recognised professional course that lasted no less than 12 months and/or completed a qualification recognised by a professional body you’ll have access to Grad Beans.
How do I manually verify my Grad status?
To be manually verified you must provide: – completion of a Bachelors, Masters, apprenticeship or another recognised professional course – proof you have completed a course that has lasted at least 12 months – show the name of your institution where you completed your studies – shows your full name – be dated within the last 5 years
Can I have a Student Beans account and Grad Beans account?
No, you will only be able to have either a Student Beans account or a Grad Beans account. You will be able to switch between the two. For example if you have completed your degree and sign up to Grad Beans, but decide to a masters a couple of years later, you will be able to switch back to your Student Beans account if you wish.
I haven’t received a verification email?
We promise we’re not spam – but check your junk mail (we won’t be offended) to make sure it’s not hiding in there. If it’s not in your junk mail you might have spelt your email incorrectly when signing up. Give signing up another go by clicking on ‘re-enter your email’ under ‘Didn’t receive an email?’ and use the correct email address: If you’re still having problems you can choose to verify yourself manually by following the instructions here.
Will my course or institution be accepted?
You will only be eligible for Grad Beans if you have previously studied and completed full-time or part-time education, completed a course lasting at least 12 months, or completed a course that gives you a professional qualification from a recognised professional body.
I can’t reset my password.
First, check your spam folder, we might’ve accidentally ended up in there. If it has be sure to add email@example.com to your contacts as this is how we’ll send you our newsletters which will show you all of our great offers. If it’s not in there drop us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org explaining the problem and we’ll look into it for you asap.
I want to update my email address.
It’s super easy to change your contact preferences. All you have to do is click on ‘My Account’ and an option to change your email address will appear. Make sure you’re using an up-to-date student email so that you don’t miss out on seeing all of our great offers!
I want to delete my Grad Beans account.
Is it too late now to say sorry? But if you really want to delete your account all you have to do is go to ‘My Account’ and a ‘Delete Account’ button should appear in the top right-hand corner. Once we receive a request to delete your account it will be deactivated within 7 days. We know you’re probably bored of hearing about GDPR, but we take it seriously, so when your account has been deactivated we will also wipe any data we have for you.
I want to unsubscribe from your emails.
If you’re finding that we send you too many emails that you’re not interested in, it’s super easy to update your contact preferences. To unsubscribe from our emails; simply login, click on ‘My Account’ and untick the boxes that say “More for Student Beans members” and “Get more from the brands you love!” depending on what emails you want to keep receiving.
My verification link is not working
If you’re having problems verifying there’s a few things you can do. First, try copy and pasting the verification link into your browser, rather than just clicking on it. If this doesn’t work, you can manually verify by following the instructions here. If you’re still having problems, drop us an email at email@example.com with your student email address and we’ll look into it for you.
My Grad discount code is invalid or has already been used.
If you’ve put a code into your basket, and then changed your mind and didn’t buy anything, sometimes a brand will consider this code ‘used’. This can also happen if the transaction failed to go through, or was cancelled by the retailer. As annoying as this can be, in most cases, you will be able to generate a new code within an hour which gives you more time to spend browsing online. However, if you do find this is happening more than once, give us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll have a look into it.
Why am I getting an error?
If you receive an error message then we want to get this sorted for you as soon as possible. Drop us an email at email@example.com with the URL of the page you’re trying to access and some more info about what’s going wrong and we’ll look into fixing it asap.
I’m having trouble entering a graduate discount code.
Once you’re done with your online shopping, simply head to the checkout to put in your code. It varies between different retailers, but normally there will be a box titled ‘Promo Code’, ‘Discount Code’ or ‘Student Discount’ on the checkout page, just before you put in and confirm your payment details. Once you’ve put in your code, the offer amount will be taken off the total price so you can see how much money you’re saving. There’s no need to thank us.
Is there a Grad Beans app?
No, there isn’t a Grad Beans app.
My Grad discount code is not applying any discount/the correct discount.
This varies between retailers, but most of the time our discount codes will only be valid on full-price items and will exclude sale items or limited edition products. This is set by the retailer, so make sure you read the terms and conditions on their website if you’re unsure. However, if you think there’s something wrong on our end give us an email at firstname.lastname@example.org and we’ll look into it for you
The graduate discount I want to use is out of codes.
Sometimes, if we have a really great offer that turns out to be super popular, we can run out of codes. If this does happen, give us an email over at email@example.com so that we can issue more codes for you to use as soon as we can.
Why has the offer % changed?
The brands we work with often offer exclusive increased discounts that are higher than the standard amount, for a limited time only. The best way to keep up with this is to have the notifications turned on for our app and to follow us on social media (Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook) so that you can keep up to date with any exclusive and limited offers as soon as they drop.
