You Could Claim $395 If You Own A MacBook
MacBook owners could be owed close to $400 due to a keyboard defect.
Over the course of four years, Apple sold a variety of MacBooks with faulty keyboards. The $50 million settlement means that people who purchased certain models of MacBooks qualify for a $395 payment as part of the class action lawsuit.
If you think you might be eligible for the payout, you’re going to want to keep reading.

How To Get Your Money
If you’re eligible, your MacBook will fall into one of three different groups.
Group 1 members, “who, within four years of purchasing a Class Computer, obtained two or more Topcase Replacements,” will receive their money without filing a claim. The payout for group 1 is $395.
Group 2 and 3 members are those who received a single Topcase Replacement or multiple Keycap Replacements that did not fix their keyboard issue. Group 2 members will receive $125, and group 3 members will receive $50.
The deadline to file your claim is March 6. If you’re ready to submit your claim, click here.
