HumanMicrobes is looking for stool samples from people in order to research what makes up a healthy gut microbiome. “It is a major problem that the vast majority of people in modern society are in poor health and have damaged gut microbiomes,” the company explains.
Additionally, they’re using these samples to help research a deadly disease, hoping to find a “lifesaving treatment for the deadly gut infection Clostridium Difficile.”
