Wondering what all is open on Christmas Day? If you’re facing a last-minute food emergency or your dinner gets burnt, you might need to rush out to your local store or restaurant to grab a backup. Or maybe you just need some serious snacks while watching Christmas movies.

That’s why we’ve compiled our full list of the restaurants, grocery stores, and fast food chains that you can still go to on Christmas Day and Christmas Eve!

Grocery Stores Open on Christmas Eve & Christmas Day

  • 7-Eleven: Luckily, 7-Eleven will be open 24/7 as usual, so if you really need something on Christmas Day or Christmas Eve you’ll be able to stock up on groceries and essentials.
  • Albertsons: Most locations are ready for business on Christmas Day from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Aldi: You’ll need to check your local store to confirm the exact opening times as this will vary per region.
  • BJ’s Wholesale: Last year, stores’ hours were 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Christmas Eve, so we can expect to see the same this year.
  • Costco: Costco stores will be open on Christmas Eve, but they’ll be closing early. This will vary regionally but you’ll probably want to get there before 5 p.m.
  • Publix: Publix stores will be open on Christmas Eve, but will close around 7 p.m.
  • Safeway: Some Safeway stores are operating with reduced hours on Christmas Day, so check with your local store.
  • Stop & Shop: Stores close at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve, so you’ll want to get there early.
  • Target: Target will be open during the day and early evening on Christmas Eve, with stores closing at around 8 p.m. so you can do your last-minute shopping without having to rush.
  • Trader Joe’s: Trader Joe’s stores close at 6 p.m. on Christmas Eve.
  • Walmart: Stores close early at 6 p.m., so plan accordingly to avoid being stuck in a huge line right before closing time.
