Martin; Snow, a recently announced project from Kit Harrington; an animated show titled The Golden Empire of Yi Ti exploring Essos; and two other yet-unnamed animated shows.

What Is House of the Dragon About?

A prequel to the events of Game of Thrones, House of the Dragon focuses on the Targaryen family and the beginning of their fall from grace and the events that lead up to the family’s civil war, known as the “Dance of Dragons.”

The civil war starts over a disagreement regarding who will take the throne after the death of King Viserys I. This event marks the downward spiral of House Targaryen, culminating in the “Mad King” Rhaegar and “Mad Queen” Daenerys.
