Think you’d make the perfect “vintern” this year?
If you’ve ever thought about taking a gap year to relax and travel abroad for a bit, this is your sign.
Wine retailer Majestic is looking to hire a trainee tester this summer (otherwise known as a “vintern”) to find out if drinking wine abroad makes it taste better.
Travel The World
If chosen for this job, you’ll be visiting Quinta Da Boavista in Portugal for a three-day excursion. You even can bring a friend, if you so choose.
The Quinta Da Boavista vineyard is run by the family-owned business Casa Santos Lima. It was even distinguished as the “Best Portuguese Producer” by the highly sought-after Mundus Vini 2021 wine awards. You’ll be sampling Majestic’s Spain & Portugal Summer Case while you’re on location.
No Experience Necessary
The best part of this job is that you don’t need any relevant experience to be selected for the job. All you need is a valid passport (obviously) and a passion for wine. You’ll also have to send in 200 words on why you think you’re the perfect fit for the job, along with your stance on if you think wines taste better abroad or not.
After sampling the wine on location, you’ll be tasting the same wines again once you’re back home.
How Much Does It Pay?
Wondering how much you’ll make for this dream gig? You’ll be paid €600, or approximately $611 for each day. That works out to a job equivalent that pays €52,000, or nearly $53,000, per year! It’s definitely worth applying for if you think you’ve got the right qualifications!
Applications close on August 19, so click here to send in your application now!
