Get Paid $1,300 To Sit and Watch Horror Movies

Get hyped for Halloween. 👻

Spooky season is almost here, and that means it’s the perfect time to start your horror movie marathon. And if you want to get paid for the scream sessions you’re planning on having, then you’re going to want to keep reading.

Third Time’s The Charm

For the third year in a row, Dish Network is looking for one (un)lucky fan to watch 13 different horror movies before Halloween. All the films will be based on Stephen King’s scariest novels, so only a true fan of the macabre will be able to handle the terror.

What You’ll Watch

The winner will be tasked with watching the following movies (if they dare):

  • Carrie (original or 2013 remake)
  • Christine
  • Creepshow
  • Cujo
  • Doctor Sleep
  • Firestarter (original or 2022 remake)
  • It (original or 2017 remake)
  • It Chapter Two
  • Misery
  • The Mist
  • Pet Sematary (original or 2019 remake)
  • Salem’s Lot
  • The Shining

While you watch, Dish Network will be tracking your heart rate and jump scares. They also want to know who you watched the movies with (if anyone). Additionally, you’ll make notes how you felt before and after the film, along with how well you slept the following night.

What You’ll Get

Aside from the $1,300, the winner will also receive a swag bag with a $350 value full of goodies. Dish Network will cover any costs associated with viewing the films, and they’ll even supply you with:

  • A survival kit, equipped with a blanket, popcorn, candy, and some Stephen King merch
  • A FitBit to track your heart rate

How To Enter

The contest is open to anyone who is a US resident and over the age of 18. Also, you’ll have to explain in 200 words or less why you should be the tortured soul to take on this job. If you think you’re brave enough to apply, click here to send in your application!
