One company is looking for the perfect duo ti work their way through 20 hours of iconic video game franchises, all while getting paid for it.

All Home Connections, an online authorized sales agent for AT&T, is celebrating the release of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and the trailer for The Super Mario Bros. Movie, along with the 30th anniversary of the release of Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for SEGA.
They’re hoping to see how classic video games compare to their more modernized releases. You and a friend will be tasked with finding out which games are the best of the best.
What You’ll Do
If selected, you and a friend will be playing 20 hours of video games—one classic and one modern. You’ll be able to select from the following pairs:
- Super Mario Bros (1985) and Mario Odyssey (2017)
- Kirby’s Adventure (1993) and Kirby and the Forgotten Land (2022)
- Donkey Kong (1983) and Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze (2018)
- Sonic The Hedgehog (1991) and Sonic Frontiers (2022)
- Legend of Zelda (1986) and Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (2017)
You’ll have two weeks to complete 20 hours of gaming. During this time, you’ll fill out a worksheet and answer the following questions:
- Have you played classic video games (released before 2000) before?
- Which was more difficult, the classic or modern game?
- Which was more fun, the classic or modern game?
- Nostalgia check: Are the classics as good/bad as you expected?
- Which game increased your heart rate more? The classic or modern game?
- Would you ever play classic games on your own in the future?
What You’ll Win
The lucky pair of gamers will get a Nintendo Switch (including the games you need), a one-year membership to Nintendo Switch Online, NES access, heart rate watches to measure which games get you the most pumped, along with snacks and swag.
