You Can Name A Cockroach After Your Ex For Valentine’s Day

Choose revenge this Valentine’s Day.

Whether you’re celebrating Galentine’s, in a relationship or just don’t care about the day, Valentine’s Day is coming up and if you still hold resentment towards an ex, you’re in luck.

San Antonio Zoo in Texas is holding a ‘Cry Me a Cockroach’ fundraiser, and if you’ve had a bitter relationship in the past it will definitely help you to feel better.

The fundraiser allows you to name a cockroach after your ex and in turn, have it eaten alive by an animal at the zoo, which has to be another level of satisfaction.

How does the cockroach fundraiser work?

The fundraiser is open to applicants globally and while you will be getting your revenge on an ex, it’s also to raise money to help the animals at the zoo. You’ll be able to pledge a donation amount and in return for your donation, a cockroach will be named after your ex and fed to one of the many hungry zoo animals.

Those who donate will receive a digital Valentine’s Day card acknowledging your support, and best of all? Your ex will also be sent a digital card informing them of the whole cockroach naming and eating thing, so they’ll be fully aware too.

You can donate a minimum of £8, or if you’d rather opt for the veggie option (a veggie alternative fed to animals who don’t eat meat) this is just £4. Plus, if you’d like to go that extra mile you can name a rat for £20.

For those who really want to go for it, for £121 you can go for the premium package of an individually personalised video message of your cockroach or rodent being fed to one of the animals to send to your ex.

Savage!

The Zoo is encouraging all types of entries as after all, Valentine’s Day isn’t just about platonic love, this extends to friends and family too so you can name a cockroach after an ex-bestie or toxic family member too if you don’t have an ex-partner that springs to mind.
