How To Manifest Your Best Year Yet

The only no-BS guide to manifesting your goals you’ll ever need.

It’s the second week of the new year already. Can you believe it?

Have you thought about what you want to achieve this year? Or are you putting the breaks on for now because it’s not the right time to set goals? Either way, manifesting what you want this year will be on your mind, and we’re here to help you do the thing.

Get manifesting with these tips below to have the best year yet.

Pick 10 things

World-famous life coach Brian Tracy is renowned for his book “No Excusesâ€. This TikTok shows how you can achieve your goals in 12 months:

  • Pick 10 things you want to focus on

  • Write them in the present tense e.g. I earn, I am, I have

  • Pick the goal you wish you could have achieved in the next 24 hours

  • Transfer that goal to another sheet of paper and write down 7 steps to achieve it

Be as clear as possible

We bang on about something called SMART targets around here because they’re that good. What you want to manifest must be specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely.

If you have no idea how to do this, then our guide to setting realistic goals and achieving them will definitely help you out.

By being mega clear about what you want to achieve, you can cultivate sharp focus and increase your motivation, discipline, and ultimately the manifestation of your goals.

Catch yourself when you trash-talk

When we fall short for whatever reason, we’re quick to talk awfully to ourselves. You may call yourself a failure, stupid and other nasty things.

Ask yourself, would you say that to a friend who’s trying their best? Aren’t we all allowed to make mistakes?

Instead, try rephrasing the trash-talk as such:

  • “I’m stupidâ€

    • “I didn’t have the knowledge to complete X at the time and that’s okayâ€

  • “I’m a failureâ€

    • “I need to fail so I can find a better solutionâ€

  • “I’ll never achieve my goalsâ€

    • “Things take time and as long as I’m doing something, that’s better than nothing at allâ€

Choose your company wisely

Are you hanging around people that don’t make you feel good about yourself? It might be time to put some boundaries in place or cut ties altogether.

It can be tough being a student as there’s an underlying pressure to still have lots of friends, especially if you’re a fresher. But ultimately, you come first.

Friends should lift you up and make you feel good about yourself. List some values you want in a friend and seek those friendships instead, or go to places such as a society, gym or club where you’re likely to find people who share the same interests.

Plan for setbacks

Setbacks are inevitable, unfortunately.

Ask yourself what other goals you can work on if there’s a roadblock, or write entirely new goals if there has been any major changes that completely stop you from achieving what you wanted to originally.

It may feel like life is out to get you, but we like to see these as diversions to something better. As more often than not, it can be.

Make a vision board

Vision boards literally allow us to visualise our future. You can make multiple boards for your financial future, future house, career, relationships, friendships, and tons of other things.

Use apps like Pinterest or do it the old-fashioned way with magazine cutouts and printed images to create boards of visually inspiring imagery. This will help focus your vision and increase your manifesting skills, especially if you’re “not sure†how something might look.

Keep moving forward

Momentum can ebb and flow, especially if you have academic burnout or your finances have taken a beating. But no matter what, find ways to keep moving forward with your manifestations. These could be as simple as:

  • Researching inspiring influencers who practice what they preach

  • Making new vision boards

  • Making lists

  • Reading a book or article on your intended goals

  • Decluttering your space to have a clearer mind

At the end of the day, slow progress is still progress, even if it doesn’t feel that way. Your future self will thank you for trekking through.

Tidy your space

We touched on decluttering. This helps immensely for manifesting your intentions because it increases your focus. Mess and clutter literally scrambles the brain, leaving you tired, hazy, and unfocused.

A tidy-up can boost your dopamine and help you feel relaxed when you need a pick-me-up too.

Trust the process

Ultimately, manifesting can take time. A year may not be enough, especially if one or a few of your goals are fairly big ones. But we believe you can achieve anything you put your mind to.

If things grind to a halt, don’t go to plan or divert you on to a path you never even considered, trust the process and keep learning.
