Obviously, there are hundreds of graduate schemes out there and not all of them will be something you’re interested in, so it’s best to research what type of programme you’d be interested in and keep track of the specific application opening dates.

Normally, graduate schemes will be open for a while so there’s no need to rush— but it doesn’t hurt to get your application in as early as you can as it will take some of the stress out of your final year and help you get organised.

Remember that all graduate schemes are different and it might not be right for you, but it doesn’t hurt to do your research. You could apply to a graduate scheme, go to an assessment day and decide it’s actually not right for you but it can be great experience.
