Ever wanted to be paid for your passion for fermented starches, AKA, beer? Then you’re going to love what we have in store.
Heineken SmartDispense has opened up seven new “Green Pub Tester” roles, where you’ll be asked to sample food and drink from the country’s greenest pubs.
What is Heineken SmartDispense?
SmartDispense reduces or removes the need for cellar cooling by chilling the beer as it leaves the keg, rather than chilling the surrounding environment. The system has two main benefits. First, it reduces the need to clean beer lines from once a week to once every four weeks, and reduces a pub’s average energy use by 90%.
After the Green Pub Guide powered by SmartDispense launched at the beginning of August 2022, the company want to know the best of the best of companies that put sustainability at the heart of what they do. The guide features 55 pubs from all corners of the UK, including The Green Man, run by Great British Bake Off (GBBO) winner Candice Brown.
Us Brits are super passionate about our locals, so Heineken SmartDispense want seven lucky people to take a closer look.
Where are the Heineken jobs located?
The Green Pub Testers will need to be situated in these specific regions across Great Britain: London and South East, South West, East Anglia and East Midlands, Wales and West Midlands, North East, North West and Scotland.
How can I apply?
The application process is quite simple:
- Write a short statement of at least 100 words, on why you love ‘the Great British pub’ and why sustainability is important to you.
- Create a short video between 30-120 seconds long, discussing your favourite pub memory, or memories, shared via a private link on YouTube, Vimeo or your chosen social channel.

The deadline for applying is 11.59 pm on Sunday, October 16.
The seven lucky people will get their expenses covered and a £500 bonus will be awarded to each of them following the successful completion of their assignments. Plus, if you’re successful, you will also be able to bring guests along with you!
