How To Get Free Food From Greggs, Krispy Kreme & More Even When It’s Not Your Birthday

Here’s how you can grab food freebies all year round.

It’s well known that when it’s your birthday you can score some great freebies from all of your fave shops and restaurants.

However, for the rest of the year, this isn’t really helpful. Luckily, it doesn’t need to be your birthday in order for you to claim some freebies as many high street chains offer loyalty schemes and deals that will work all year around. Plus, with the cost of living crisis, everyone needs some free things every now and again to make life a bit easier.

Here’s what you need to know:

Krispy Kreme

The Krispy Kreme rewards scheme is one of the best, as you can get a free doughnut just for signing up. So, if you’re not signed up yet you’ll want to get on that asap. You can either download the app or sign up online on their website and as a reward for joining you’ll get a free glazed doughnut that you can collect from your local store or local Tesco.

Of course, you’ll get a birthday doughnut too so if you’re signing up and your birthday is soon you’ll be able to enjoy two free doughnuts in a month!

Other than these free doughnuts, you’ll be able to collect points known as smiles for every £1 you spend and once you gain 100 smiles you can redeem another free doughnut.

Burger King

Burger King

Burger King’s app will give you freebies and offers all the time, so once you’ve downloaded the app you’ll want to keep an eye on it.

You can collect points every time you visit Burger King, and each £1 you spend will gain you 10 points. Once you’ve hit 150 points you can redeem them on free cheeseburgers, hamburgers, fries and drinks.

You’ll also get an instant 200 points when you first sign up, so you can use this to claim a freebie straight away. But be warned as points expire after 6 months, so you’ll want to keep an eye on what you need to spend before the points run out.

Not to mention, you can get a student discount at Burger King every time you visit.

Subway

Subway also has an app which will allow you to gain points in exchange for regular purchases. When you earn points you’ll be able to claim a free cookie or bag of crisps which will cost you 250 points, a hot drink which costs 100 points, a six-inch sub, salad or flatbread for 500 points and if you manage to get 1,000 points you can get a free footlong sub.

Every 10p you spend equals 1 point, so if you’re a Subway regular you can build this up fairly quickly. When you sign up you’ll get an instant 250 points and for the first 28 days after you make an account you’ll get double points, so 2 points for every 10p which can help you quickly get on the way to winning a free footlong.

Greggs

Greggs

When you sign up for Greggs rewards scheme you’ll instantly get a free coffee, just for signing up.

Every time you buy something from Greggs you can earn stamps and once you collect nine stamps from each of the six set categories you’ll get your tenth item for free. So, if you buy nine sausage rolls you’ll get one for free, but if you’ve bought seven sausage rolls and two hot drinks this will count as two different categories.

Plus, don’t forget you can always get a student discount at Greggs too!
