The best Black Friday 2022 deals are soon to be released. While it’s early yet, it’s a good time to think about the items you’re looking out for, which retailers are offering Black Friday deals and key items you might have on your list.

Black Friday isn’t just the time to search for Christmas presents, but it’s also a great time to look for birthday gifts or something for yourself. There’s going to be tons on offer from electronics to perfume. And while many retailers are yet to announce their plans, we’ve created this page to answer your burning questions. We’ll keep it updated with the latest offers on the run-up to Black Friday.

Black Friday 2022 deals: the best early live deals

At the time of writing (5th October 2022), Black Friday deals haven’t been fully released yet. However, there are signals from brands that things are about to switch up fast, so we’ll keep this page updated on the latest Black Friday deals.

There is, however, a Prime Early Access Sale planned for October 11th-12th, meaning this is the start of the Black Friday Amazon sales. So it’s very likely that other stores will likely see this as the starting point for Black Friday 2022.

What date is Black Friday 2022 in the UK?

So when does Black Friday start? Black Friday 2022 has been officially confirmed for the 25th of November. Traditionally a big shopping day in America, before arriving in the UK, the date always falls on the Friday after Thanksgiving.

When is Cyber Monday 2022?

Cyber Monday will follow on from Black Friday deals on the 28th November. This means a full weekend of low-prices to enjoy just in time for gifting season.

Traditionally, Cyber Monday deals were geared towards discounts across small electronic items like phones, laptops and the like. However, these days, they extend to other departments to keep the competition going.

When do Black Friday 2022 deals start?

Black Friday deal start dates vary per retail. As we mentioned previously, there’s a Prime Early Access sale planned for the 11th-12th October. Amazon Black Friday is ahead of the game when it comes to the best Black Friday 2022 deals, so keep your finger on the pulse for the latest deals.

We should mention that in previous years, Boots, Amazon and John Lewis, along with a number of other retailers, launched their deals a fortnight earlier than the official date. We anticipate that they might do the same this year, if not sooner than we think.

How long does Black Friday last?

The best Black Friday deals last for a limited amount of time only. However, some brands are released their Black Friday discounts well in advance. Sometimes up to a month!

Typically, though, Black Friday sales from brands usually last around 24 hours. They may extend to Cyber Monday with the same or different offer.

So all in all, it really depends on the retailer and how long they want to run their offers for.

What are the best Black Friday deals 2022?

We expect many retailers to run Black Friday sales across all of their departments, especially as times are tougher (financially) than they were a year ago. This includes fashion, tech, beauty and home deals.

The best Black Friday deals land on the week of the sale itself, with the biggest products seeing discounts during the main event. So yes, Black Friday is one of the best times to buy.

However, you’ll be seeing discounts landing as early as the start of the month, which we anticipate will be the case with a lot of retailers.

Is Black Friday cheaper than Amazon Prime Day?

Both Prime Day and Black Friday are great times to bag yourself some serious discounts.

According to Digital Trends, the discounts are more or less the same, if not cheaper on Black Friday. Obviously, to celebrate and buy from Prime Day deals, you’ll need an Amazon Prime account.

If your current laptop is failing you and you want the best student laptops, it’s worth shopping the deals that are coming up. That means, don’t just wait for Black Friday to roll around if Prime Day is happening sooner (and vice versa).

Black Friday versus Cyber Monday

Black Friday consists of sales across all departments, whereas Cyber Monday, traditionally, offers more discounts on electronic-based items. Nowadays, this extends to other products too, especially as retailers are more competitive than ever before.

Cyber Monday is typically also an online-exclusive event, but again, this may change as retailers battle it out for the best Black Friday deals over the long weekend and beyond.
