Rare Beanie Babies to make you money
These are considered the most valuable Beanie Babies. If you’ve got one (or a few) hidden away in your childhood home, it’s worth revisiting for a family dinner…
1. Princess Bear
First off is this rare 1997 Beanie Baby made in honour of Princess Diana after her death.
This is one of the rarest Beanie Babies out there, so if you do come across one on eBay you can expect to be bidding pretty high. We’ve seen one listed at £500!
2. 15-inch Peace Bear and 9-inch Peace, Ringo and Bones
If you manage to get your hands on this set of Beanie Babies, you could get very rich. The gigantic 15-inch Peace is valuable on it’s own, but when paired with the 9-inch Peace and his friends you could easily be looking at around £8000 for the set.
3. Bubbles
Released in 1996, Bubbles was instantly one of the most popular and rarest Beanie Babies out there. Bubbles has had several updates since 1996, several of which had errors and it’s the ones with errors on the tags that are most valuable!
The rare Beanie Baby is seen listed for around £1,090 on eBay, so if you’ve got one with the errors on the tag, you could fund your student life.

4. Humphrey The Camel
Humphrey was one of the original 9 Beanie Babies created in 1993, which naturally makes him highly sought after and one of the rarest Beanie Babies. He was discontinued in 1998, which has only increased his value.
5. Gobbles The Turkey
This 1997 Beanie Baby comes in a few varieties but all of them could be worth quite a lot of money — up to £16,600 we saw on one Etsy listing!
Gobbles the Turkey is definitely one of the most valuable Beanie Babies.
6. Peanut The Elephant
Peanut is one of the rarest Beanie Babies in the world, if you have him the right colour.
Made in 1995 this one was produced in royal blue, light blue, purple and grey. If you have the royal blue you’re in luck as this was actually a manufacturing error in the dye- and is now worth a LOT. Some listings start at around £499, others around £1,500 if in original packaging.
7. Halo The Bear
Halo is a special edition bear, meant to symbolise a child’s guardian angel. If you have one from 1998 with a rare white star printed on it instead of yellow than you could be looking at up to $13,500 (£10,251).
8. Iggy The Iguana
Iggy was a really popular Beanie Baby and went through a lot of different designs. However, the one that will earn you a lot of money is the one with missing print inside the tag due to an error. There’s an eBay listing for one going for around £60,000.
9. Valentino Bear
The rarest Valentino bears are the ones with their name misspelled in the tags, so if you remember this one from your childhood it’s best to get proof reading. This rare Beanie Baby could fetch you around £2,000 if you’re lucky.
10. “Large” Wallace and Friends Beanie Babies
The most valuable Beanie Babies? This extra Large Wallace and his two normal sized friends, Cashew, Huggy and two smaller Wallace toys. The whole set is worth nearly a million dollars, so you can only imagine how sought after it is.
11. Hippity, Hoppity and Floppity the Bunnies
In order to make money you’ll need to have the trio as a set. Hippity, Hoppity and Floppity bunny were all originally sold together though, so you’re more likely to own all 3 of them rather than just the one.
12. Patti The Platypus
Patti is another one of the original Beanie Babies, which makes her pretty rare.
While her value might not be as high as some of the others on this list, she’s definitely worth something to some collectors, especially if you have her in the rare magenta colour.
13. “Large” Ariel and friends, Ariel, Issy and Peanut
Another large Beanie Baby Ariel was made in 2000 as a tribute to a 7-year-old who had passed away from complications with AIDS. Ariel and her friends are worth a lot together and are super rare.
14. Snort The Red Bull
Snort was made after Ty were facing a copyright infringement lawsuit over one of its existing Beanie Babies Tabasco in 1997. The name was changed to Snort the Red Bull and is pretty much identical just with a new name and it’s worth just as much as the original was. There’s an Etsy listing of one for £39,000.
15. Brownie The Bear
Another original Beanie Baby, Brownie is worth a lot of money nowadays. Brownie has brown fur and shouldn’t have a poem in his tag.
Bears are actually some of the most popular Beanie Babies, but being an original Brownie is even more valuable and rare in the Beanie Baby world.
16. Pouch The Kangaroo
Pouch was going for $10,000 on eBay at some point, so if you think you have one now’s your change to look. Defo one of the most valuable Beanie Babies.
17. Holiday Teddy
This is another limited edition Beanie Baby, so with only a few made it’s super rare and sought after.
18. Nana The Monkey
Made in 1995 Nana was soon changed to Bongo the monkey, so if you do have an original monkey with the Nana name-tag, you’re in luck! Can be seen on eBay for £3,000.
19. Employee The Bear
Chances are, you won’t have Employee as only 300 of this bear were made in 1995 and gifted to Ty employees. Half the bears made wear a red ribbon and half wear a green ribbon but all of them are highly valuable and collectors items. This rare Beanie Babies can go for around £2,000-3,000.
20. Jake The Duck
Jake was listed on eBay for $16,000 (£12,188) at one point so it’s safe to say if you cuddled this Beanie Baby growing up, you could actually be sitting on a lot of money.
21. Claude the Crab
Claude the Crab, if in mint condition, can go for around £3,500 on some eBay listings. Not surprised, he’s a little cutie.
22. Pinchers the Lobster
If you’ve got a Pinchers the Lobster Beanie Baby, you might be in possession of one of the rarest Beanie Babies. The rarity comes from the errors on the tag, so get your glasses on and check the label. An eBay listing starts at approximately £3,700.

Where to sell Beanie Babies
Grab your pocketed-trench coat and hit the streets at dark… no, we’re joking, don’t worry. There are legitimate ways you can sell your Beanie Babies and make a pretty penny.
If you’re scoured the attic and every nook and cranny of your childhood abode, and been lucky enough to find some rare Beanie Babies (or even just any cute ones), you might fancy selling them and seeing if you can make some dollar.
Here are some of the places you can sell your rare Beanie Babies:
- eBay: if you’ve got any of the rare Beanie Babies, eBay is especially good for listing as you can set a ‘Buy it now’ price or put the Beanie Baby on auction and have users bid (which can rack up the price pretty quickly).
- Facebook Marketplace: selling on Facebook Marketplace is great if you’ve got boxes full of Beanie Babies and want to shift them quickly. Parents are always looking for toys so if you’re selling fairly cheaply, then this might be the way to go. Probably not ideal if you’ve got a super rare Beanie Baby that you want to sell for more than a few quid, though.
- Etsy: much like eBay, plenty of people list their rare Beanie Babies on Etsy, but it’s also great for the more common Beanie Babies, especially if they’re in good condition.
- Vinted: although Vinted has gained popularity for clothing, many people sell household items and homewares, including children’s stuff, too.
