Amazon’s Giving You The Chance To Save HUNDREDS Of ££ This October

A second Amazon Prime day has been confirmed for October!

For the first time ever Amazon has announced a second Prime day for 2022 and it’s going to take place just before Black Friday.

The 48-hour event has been a tradition since 2015 and normally runs just once per year but this year we’re getting another one so you’ll be able to grab some serious savings on tech and home appliances this October!

Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming event:

When is Amazon Prime Day?

The second Amazon Prime Day of 2022 will take place on Tuesday 11th and Wednesday 12th of October. For those 48 hours, there will be a huge amount of savings across the site as a pre-Black Friday warm-up sale, and it’s the perfect time to grab some bargains.

The last Amazon Prime Day was on the 12th-13th of July earlier this year, which is a great date if you want to score some savings mid-year, but this new date is the perfect chance to do some pre-Christmas shopping or grab some new things for your uni room.

What is Amazon Prime Day?

In 2015 to celebrate its 20th anniversary, Amazon hosted its first Prime Day. This was a 24-hour event where you could grab some serious savings, and customers loved it so much that it’s become an annual event. Since 2019 Prime Day has extended to a full 48-hour event, meaning you don’t have to rush your shopping but you do still need to be quick.

In order to take advantage of Prime Day, you need to have an Amazon Prime membership and luckily you can get a student discount on one using your Student Beans account. If you don’t have a Prime membership yet, we recommend getting one before Prime Day and Black Friday as not only will you be able to grab some great deals, all year round free unlimited next-day delivery will honestly save your life.

What deals can I get on Prime Day?

Although no one knows exactly how much things will be discounted before the big event, Prime Day is well known for being the time to purchase tech or household products as these are going to be the most heavily discounted. So, if you’re eyeing up a new TV, headphones or laptop you may want to hold off a few weeks and see what deals you’ll be able to get over Prime Day.

During the previous Prime Day event earlier this year, Apple AirPods Pro which is normally £207, were reduced by £60 while Amazon’s Firestick was reduced from £29.99 to just £12.99. Home appliances also normally see great price reductions, with the fairly pricey Shark cordless vacuum being reduced by over £100 last Prime Day.

Other items such as gaming laptops, headsets, air fryers, TVs and microwaves also saw great discounts, so you’ll want to keep an eye out.

Don’t forget to sign up for an Amazon Prime account using Student Beans if you haven’t already, so you’re prepared and start making your wishlist of all the things you’d like to buy during the Prime Day sale!
