Best prank call ever
A telemarketer gets more than he bargained for when he phoned comedian Tom Mabe.
So you know those telemarketers that everyone hates? Of course you do. Everyone hates telemarketers so much that it’s hard to imagine telemarketers not hating themselves. I think it must be the knack they have for phoning you up at the most inconvenient time possible to offer you something that you don’t want or need. Yeah, that’ll do it.
No house needs to be double glazed 10 times and no one if they’re honest with themselves wants a subscription to Breaded Cats Monthly (yes it's them again). But, as it turns out, comedian Tom Mabe didn’t want a complete digital satellite system for free either.
Poor Tom. He’s been called so many times by anonymous sellers that he has put a voice recorder by his phone so that he can torture them on tape. This time around he pretends to be a policeman at a murder scene who quickly becomes suspicious of the cold-caller. He also gives a very vivid description of the practicalities of mailing a letter directly into someone’s bum. Genius.
