Now it turns that animals are equally as amazing. And no, we don't mean in a bread on cats, Text From Dog kind of way,

When a free diver started cramping up she thought she was a goner - that was until a Beluga whale spotted what was happening and carried her to the surface.

After Dorothy the chimp died of heart failure in a rescue centre in Cameroon, her friends gathered around to mourn her death as she was laid to rest.

6.) The dog who wouldn't leave his owner's grave

When 68-year-old Lao Pan died in China in 2011 his dog remained so loyal that he stayed by his owner's grave day and night for a week, without food or drink. In the end the locals built a kennel for the dog and regularly brought him supplies.

7.) George the Jack Russell

After a group of children were attacked by pit bulls their Jack Russell, George, stepped in to protect them. 'George tried to protect us by barking and rushing at them, but they started to bite him - one on the head and the other on the back.'

The children were saved, but sadly George later died from his injuries.
