Widow eats dead husband's ashes
Woman addicted to the taste of her husband's cremated ashes...
We've all heard of many different addictions. From cigarettes and alcohol to coffee and chicken nuggets (really). But never before have we heard about anyone having an addiction to someone's ashes.
Enter 26-year-old Casie of Tennessee, who tragically lost her husband to an asthma attack. Her grieving process took an unusual turn when she took to eating his cremated ashes.
It started out with Casie carrying her husband's ashes wherever she went, including the supermarket cinema and restaurants.
But TV show, My Strange Addiction, ended their series with Casie, who revealed that she had since taken to eating the ashes and has become unable to stop herself from dipping her finger into her husband's urn and licking the dust. It has been going on for two months.
It started off when one day the ashes spilled onto her hand.
'I didn't want to wipe them off because that's my husband and I don't want to wipe him away... So I just licked it off my finger.'
She has said that the dust tastes like 'rotten eggs, sand and sandpaper.' Scrummy.
