New show puts audience to sleep
Theatre-goers will cosy up for a giant sleepover for a new stage show in London.
A sleeping audience isn't exactly the best response to a new show at the theatre. But Simmon Casson, Producer of Lullaby, would be a little disappointed if onlookers didn't at least get forty winks during his production.
London's Barbican Theatre is set to stage Casson's show next June, which is designed to make the audience fall asleep. Attendees will even change into their pjs and get into bed, forming one giant, slumber party.
Casson has said: 'Every time I go to the theatre I fall asleep, so I thought why don't we embrace that idea and make a show that deliberately sends people to sleep?' Why the hell not, ay.
Single, double and triple beds will be available and breakfast will be served the next morning. What a nice touch.
Tickets will go on sale next month, priced at £42.
