Harrods display £530k bathtub

Half a million on a bathtub? Yeah why not.

It costs £530,000, and you might have a problem trying to squeeze it into the average bathroom, but how much do you want to take a dip in this amazing crystal bathtub?

The bath, now on show in upmarket store Harrods, is 7ft long and 2ft deep, and weighs 2.5 tonnes when filled. It was fashioned by Luca Bojola from a single block of pure white crystal, which was quarried in 2006 from the Amazon region of Brazil.

The bath was one of two created from the enormous block, the first of which was snapped up by a Russian business magnate for an impressive £567, 502. Both were sculpted with diamond cuts and left rough in parts to expose the crystal's natural beauty. According to its creator, the aim of the project was 'to create the wildest, craziest, most beautiful and luxurious object ever imagined for a bathroom'. One question though - does it come in avocado?
