Artist draws Barack Obama on her typewriter
Keira Rathbone has drawn Kate Moss, Marilyn Monroe and President Obama... on her old typewriter.
Kyle Lambert opts for the iPad to show off his lifelike celebrity portraits but Keira Rathbone chooses a much older set of tools - her band of trusty typewriters.
The 27-year-old creates images using numbers, letters and punctation on her selection of 30 old typewriters, after first coming up with the idea whilst at university.
Rathbone - who produces portraits so detailed, they can take up to three weeks to complete - has said: 'I love using a typewriter to draw. It’s an enjoyable process and a unique way of creating imagery. I often go around London and just sit there with a typewriter drawing what I can see or doing portraits.'
Her work is currently on display at the Montcalm hotel in London's West End.
