Man changes name to Captain Awesome
Because Douglas Allen Smith Jr. just doesn't sound as good, does it?
Yes, a man in Oregon has really changed his name to Captain Awesome.
Douglas Allen Smith Jr. opted for the change last month because he was inspired by the nickname of a character in TV show Chuck, Dr. Devon 'Captain Awesome' Woodcomb.
Not only that, but the County judge also agreed to let him sign his name as a right arrow, a smiley face and a left arrow. Apparently his bank won't accept that as a signature however, since it would be very easy to forge.
