Newsreader unwittingly reads out Anchorman line
Newsreader tells viewers 'I love lamp'.
We do love a bit of Anchorman here at studentbeans.com. So much so, in fact, that we even downloaded the Anchorman Soundboard to keep a pocketful of Rob Burgundy quotes with us at all times.
And it seems we're not the only ones to be going around quoting the popular American comedy. An newsreader on the NBC channel was recently pranked when his colleagues posted a quote from the film on his autocue, since, like Ron Burgundy, he tends to read out whatever he sees on the prompter in front of him.
After an enthralling report about cats, Brian Niznansky turned to the camera saying: 'In other news, I love lamp...' forcing his co-anchor to burst into fits of laughter. 'Oh me God he totally fell for it!,' she said.
'Brian will read anything put on the teleprompter and that is just proof right there.'
Ah, the difference between UK and US news broadcasts. You wouldn't catch Jon Snow at this sort of banter now, would you?
