Job applicant sends pic of Nic Cage instead of CV
Turns out she *didn’t* get the job?! Weird.
We’ve all done it - the crippling fear of sending an email you didn’t mean to send is unparalleled.
20-year-old Toronto student Vanessa Hojda didn’t just make an embarrassing typo, she didn’t even accidentally send an email to her mum instead of her other half (that was an awkward day).
Instead, Vanessa sent off a job application - but rather than attaching her CV, she accidentally attached an uber-smiley (if not demonic) image of everyone’s favourite twitchy Hollywood star, Nic Cage.
Once she admitted her mistake on blogging site Tumblr the story went viral - hardly surprising given the internet’s seemingly unquenchable thirst for anything involving the Face/Off star.
After informing Vanessa that all she could see was a ‘terrifying’ picture of Nic Cage, the potential employer when on to mention that the position had been filled.
Unfortunate, but with the current employment crisis it’s hardly surprising - as soon as a job has been advertised these days it’s usually gone in 60 seconds.
Keen to ensure that this never happens again, Vanessa has since changed the file name of her CV to ‘thisisaresumeyoudumbassnotaphotofnicolascage’.
Check out the email she sent, below... you could probably add this to our list of eight unforgivable CV mistakes.
