Burglar kills goldfish ‘witnesses’
Three unlucky goldfish were killed at the hands of a teenage burglar because he ‘Didn’t want to leave any witnesses’.
When it comes to burglary, we've witnessed really dumb behaviour. There was the thief caught after having a little nap on the job, the ones who called the police on themselves and then the guys who snorted the ashes of a house-owner's father thinking they were cocaine..... But we think we may have the winners here.
If you've witnessed an arch villain or a member of the Mafia commit a terrible crime and you're the key to them being caught and locked up for life - you'd be right to feel a little vulnerable. That crime boss has a very good reason for getting rid of you. For good.
If you're a Goldfish, floating in your bowl, observing teenagers nicking a 'ds' and some other kit, you'd be right to feel very hard done by to be whacked over what you'd just seen.
Sgt Mike Hernandez of Chicago police talking about the burglary to the Daily Herald stated,
‘As a matter of fact, it's a little disturbing. According to the police report, he looked at the fish tank and said: 'We can't leave any witnesses.’'
Never mind the most well known fact on the planet - that goldfish have 3 second memories - these dangerous witnesses had to go.
The thieves, aged 15,16 and 17, stole a Nintendo ds, CD player, 30 video games, 30 DVDs, an air gun, and of course the lives of three gold fishes who were in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Are these the dumbest thieves ever, or are these ones more stoooopid?
