Local entrepreneurs to bring business to life for more than 1500 students
The ‘Blue Skies’ Roadshow arrives in Birmingham on Tuesday 14th March with the aim of inspiring young people to be entrepreneurial, encourage young people to think about being successful and to discover Birmingham’s next generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs.
Some of Birmingham’s most successful business people have been invited to meet and talk to the students about business life in what will be a fun and lively environment.

Schools signed up for the event include Bordesley Green School, Cockshut Hill Technology College, George Dixon School, Harborne Hill School, Heart of England School, Kings Norton Girls School, Langley School, Lordswood Boys, Lordswood Girls' School, South Birmingham College, Swanshurst School, Washwood Heath School and Waverley School.
The event is organised by the business education charity, businessdynamics, and sponsored by the Learning and Skills Council and supports the government’s National Strategy for Enterprise Education, a compulsory part of the national Curriculum from September 2005.
David Millar, CEO of roadshow organisers, businessdynamics, said; “Blue Skies events are fantastic at inspiring young people to be more entrepreneurial. The importance of having a successful role model that they can relate to is very powerful and it may just help produce the next Richard Branson, Anita Roddick or James Dyson.”
The show is taking place on Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th, from 10-11.30am and 1- 2.30pm at the Odeon, New Street, Birmingham. This is a free event, but schools must register in advance due to the limited number of places available.
