EMA is CASH IN YOUR HANDS to help you carry on learning! If you’re 16, 17 OR 18, about to leave or have just left compulsory education then you can earn up to £30 A WEEK during term time. The money goes straight into your bank account and can be spent on anything including books, equipment and transport.
There are loads of different subjects available from agriculture, digital media, science and technology, travel and tourism. You can do which ever qualification suits you best whether it’s A Levels, diplomas or GCSE re-sits.
You can find out more information on all of the courses on offer at http://ema.direct.gov.uk/ There is also a handy little EMA hotline if you call 0800 121 8989.
The EMA lets you earn between £10, £20 or £30 per week depending on the income of your household. It sounds complicated but basically if you’re house-hold earns less than £30,810 than you will be eligible for EMA!!
