Is Hull a Premier City for the Premiership?
As Hull City celebrate their promotion into the premiership football league, people who had previously condemned Hull may be inspired to visit.
Whether they come for the football or the rugby the impressive KC stadium will not disappoint.
First impressions are key, and Hull's new 'Transport Interchange' (aka bus/train station) is remarkable. Spacious, friendly and modern, it perfectly encapsulates the feel of this up and coming city.
Anyone who has not visited Hull recently will be pleasantly surprised.
The brand new St Stephens Development completes Hull's collection of High Street chain stores, the diversity of which could only be expected of a larger city.
For the more cultured, Hull has its very own Art Gallery and an impressive museums quarter celebrating the diversity of Hull's unique heritage.
Hull was home to both William Wilberforce and Philip Larkin and boasts the infamous landmark of engineering, the Humber Bridge.
Plus Hull is home to the world's only 'Submarium' known as The Deep which is an excellent day out.
Recent TV programmes such as ITV's 'The Duchess in Hull' have portrayed Hull in an unjustly poor light considering the massive investment and rapid transformation of the area (e.g. two new cinemas opening in the past year).

Admittedly Hull, like any city, has it's worse areas but these are rendered insignificant in comparison with the majority of the city.
As it has been a university town for 80 years, Hull is very student-friendly.
The University of Hull attracts over 18,000 students of which it boasts an international community from over 110 countries.
The city's widespread student appeal could be attributed to money as Hull is reputedly one of the cheapest places to live in the UK.
Places to go out are endless and from renovated banks in Hull's lovely Old Town to underground live music venues the music scene is as diverse as the students.
The Bars all offer cheap student nights and offers unheard of in other parts of the country including £1 drinks, free shots and BOGOF.
Altogether Hull is a fantastically diverse city which is extremely student friendly.
Whilst it can boast bars, shopping and culture the reputation of the area keeps things cheap!
