Health & Fitness pick of the week (September 19th)
While most students who aim to keep fit during their stay at university opt for the student gym, things like poor or not enough equipment, overcrowding, and location can drive others to look elsewhere.
Most gyms will offer you a discounted student rate, but for a
limited time, Fitness First, a chain with over 170 locations in the UK, is offering
students a free three day trial thanks to Studentbeans.com.
Free day passes are a common tool gyms offer to get people interested in
joining, but with a three day pass you can really get a feel for the place
before you sign over your money.
Go early in the morning one day, late-afternoon another, and then pop in after dinnertime on your third day to find out how busy your gym gets at peak times.
Even if you decide that Fitness First isn't right for you, at least you'll have gotten in three good workouts for free!
Fitness First constantly has promotional deals like this going on, so why not use them to your advantage?
Keep checking their website,
along with Studentbeans.com, and wait for a deal that will really make it worth
it for you.
If you're only going to the gym for a fortnightly effort on the Stairmaster,
your local student gym is probably more than good enough.
If, however, you're more likely to be found working on your triceps than on next week's essay, take a closer look at chains like Fitness First.
