Student Clothing
Here's to prove student attire can be unisex - the hottest student looks include loads of styles that can be pulled off by both boys and girlies.
My top ten student fashion necessities are crucial for everyone student enough!
Skinny Jeans
Absolutely essential for everyone, regardless of sex.
Even if you once hated skinnies, I bet you now own at least one pair.
Available in every colour imaginable and a sure sign to show your studentness.
Great worn under dresses for girls, and with bright t-shirts for the boys.
Thick rimmed specs
Remember when glasses were nerdy? Well not anymore!
Specs are the height of student fashion and rightly so, 'cause thick rimmed glasses are super chic and sophisticated.
In addition to their practical side, exciting, bold specs are making "specky four eyes" the envy of their friends.
Side bag
It's imperative that every student owns a bag that can be worn on the side.
Both comfortable and practical, and roomy enough for all those books and assignments, side bags have crept into the student fashion charts as a stylish must have.
A pair of Converse®
Most students I know, own at least one pair of Converse® sneakers.
They can be worn with pretty much anything (yes girls, Lilly Allen does wear sneakers with dresses).
There's a pair out there to suit everyone from bright yellow covered in bunnies, to classic black.
Hoodies
Snug, comfy and wearable with absolutely everything, hoodies are my favourite student essential.
Available in all colours, patterns and shapes, with a good selection of hoodies you can't go wrong.
Check out H&M for some reasonably priced, unusual styles.
All students love thick, chunky-knit scarves for winter, and light, cotton scarves for the milder summer months.Rachael Moores
Band T-shirts
T-shirts of your favourite band or from music gigs are a great way to give others an insight into your music taste and knowledge.
Bands unheard of to most people make super cool subjects for t-shirts for both the men and the ladies.
Leather Jacket
The recent return of the leather jacket has made owning one a must for every student wardrobe.
The vintage look normally goes down well, so look for cracked and worn leather jackets when buying.
If you're not a lover of animal skins, faux leather jackets are on sale in most high street stores too, and are often very affordable.
Various scarves
I would be totally lost without my collection of seasonal scarves.
All students love thick, chunky-knit scarves for winter, and light, cotton scarves for the milder summer months.
They look great on boys and girls and are the perfect, effortless accessory to any outfit.
Studded belt
Where would we be without our studded belts?
Probably with our pants round our ankles would be the answer!
Funk up any pair of jeans (or denim skirt for the ladies) with a thick, leather studded belt in any colour desired for the ideal student look.
Over-sized sunglasses
Fantastic to hide behind after "one too many" the night before and guaranteed to make even the roughest of us look like a superstar.
With summer close approaching, bigger is better when buying those shades.
So that about wraps up the top ten student fashion essentials.
If you don't already own everything, get yourself to your nearest high street now for all those must have student outfits!
