'Sex & The City' Style Glam on a student budget

With the recent global release and enormous success of the Sex and the City film, Carrie Bradshaw's designer style is the envy of every female over the age of fifteen, but just how can we re-create the elegance and chic that Miss Bradshaw oozes onscreen?

Now, I must agree that some of her more flamboyant outfits are not for the everyday urban dweller; I certainly would not prance down my local high street in what is essentially a pink tutu.

However I certainly would love a killer pair of Manolo Blahnik's - but the price tag is somewhat of a turn off.

For a more mainstream take on the famous tutu take a look at Boohoo.com, where for only £20 you can bag yourself a gorgeous ruffle mini dress - you'll be right on trend this season in this hot number.

Don't forget that ASOS is a great website where you'll find mock designer style but without the designer price tag.

For instance they are currently stocking a Nicola Daniele exclusive leather stud detail belt, identical to the one worn by SJP in the film. At only £28, it is a great accompaniment to any outfit.

One style that is right on trend this season that Carrie Bradshaw most definitely picked up on is the Grecian look - lots of creamy colours, bronze jewellery, and of course those gladiator shoes.

New Look do a great range of both flats and stylish high heels starting from only £12. Don't forget to whip out your student card to receive a 10% discount too!

If it's the accessories you're after try snazzing up an outfit with a flower corsage, which can be used to turn a bland outfit brilliant.

Check out the range Topshop have on offer, where their corsages range from £6 to £10 - minimal cost, but maximum vampage to an outfit!

Another key accessory to rock this summer if you want to be in with a chance of winning in the style stakes is the trilby...Yes people, Bradshaw brought the trilby back.

Although the trilby may not quite "go" with your LBD and red stilettos, it is a statement piece that can be worn all year round - especially on a stroll along the beach in Topshop's straw trilby for only £20!

Good luck all you student style gurus out there!
