Bizarre beauty treatments
1. The Perrier Facial: The Face and Body Clinic, Harley Street
Costing £150 a pop, the facial claims to be 'two hours of pure bliss', involving three face masks, facial cleansing and massages, all of which contain the Perrier water.
Although this treatment may be the height of luxury, it probably isn't for the average student.
How about trying a home made alternative by mixing one egg yolk with one spoon of honey, apply and then leave for fifteen relaxing minutes, and rinse off with warm water?
If all else fails, just pop down to your local chemist and buy a Montagne Jeunesse, available at most Boots stores or online at MontagneJeunesse.com for just 99p per mask.
2. Hari's Aberdeen Organic Bull Sperm Treatment: Hari's Hair and Beauty
Claiming to revitalise and repair all hair types by replenishing essential proteins, the Bull Sperm hair treatment is definitely unique.
Costing £55, it is certainly one of the less expensive treatments on the market, however the thought of sperm being massaged into clients' hair is just too bizarre to accept.
3. Caviar Hair Treatment: Hari's Hair and Beauty
Coming in at £100, another treatment that can only be described as being utterly lavish is the caviar hair mask, which claims to 'treat dull hair to a super indulgent high shine'.
Hari's treatments are certainly winning in the creative stakes, yet it appears the celebs are clocking on to the eccentric beauty treatments, as it has recently been reported that Catherine Zeta Jones regularly undergoes a truffle and caviar conditioning treatment in order to keep her locks nourished and luscious.

A cheaper alternative I have often heard of is to combine one part beer to three parts water, which leaves your hair bouncy and super soft.
However, I don't know how comfortable I would feel putting beer into my hair as it's normally alcohol that I am trying to wash out of my hair after a night on the tiles, not intentionally rubbing it into my locks!
Alternatively, in order to get rid of split ends and dry, dull hair, try combining one ripe mashed avocado, one egg yolk, one half teaspoon of olive oil and then massage into hair.

4. Leech Therapy: A new craze on the block as used by Demi Moore
In a recent interview with American chat-show host David Letterman, Demi Moore let slip that she detoxifies her blood by allowing leeches to suck on her skin!
There appears to be no blood sucking alternative to leeches, and I would highly advise against inviting mosquitoes to dinner.
Instead to detox and maintain a healthy body, drink plenty of water and eat lots of fruit and veg!
